Ilona Hepburn, Cellist

Ilona Hepburn is a professional cellist with a varied performing career spanning chamber music, orchestral work and solo performance. She studied at Chetham’s School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music, before continuing postgraduate studies in Chicago.

Ilona has performed for distinguished audiences including the late Queen and the Pope, appeared on television, and toured with artists such as Russell Watson and Lee Memphis King. Chamber music lies at the heart of her work, and she performs regularly across the North West with her ensemble, Lucia Strings.

Alongside performing, Ilona is a dedicated teacher and the founder of String Sounds, where she is passionate about inspiring the next generation of young musicians.
